Who doesn’t like free After Effects files? With an increasing demand for video content, there is a need for motion graphics and visual effects at a lower cost. Time is also a big factor. Sometimes you don’t have the luxury of time to create personalized After Effects animations with the time allocated for each project you’re working on. So, to facilitate the motion graphic designer’s task, I have regrouped a lots of free After Effects templates on this page. I will start with the basics:
What are After Effects templates ?
For the newbies, After Effects templates are basically the open source of visual effects where you can open the After Effect project and see how the visual effects or animation was built. In addition, the free templates are usually royalty / copyright free so you can use them anywhere you want ( just make sure you read the legal fine-print before you use the templates on big projects).
What are free After Effects files used for?
Free AE templates are awesome for people who desire to learn more on how after effects works. Some people prefer this way of learning rather than watching a long boring video tutorial.
After effects Templates also allow people to see how professional motion graphic designers and video editors make their animations and apply the methods to your own after effects project. Personally I think even if you are an experienced animator, there are always new motion graphic techniques to learn or improve your way of animating and increase your workflow.
To facilitate your search, this page regroups a large amount of free After Effects templates from different websites and individual motion designers. The page will be updated regularly so make sure you bookmark it.
If you’d like to add and remove the free After Effects templates from this page message me here.
