After Effects Behavior Presets Resource and Preview Gallery
For many years I have over looked the After Effects Behaviors Presets, mostly because I was busy and didn’t have time to figure out what each presets was doing, If I knew how useful the behaviors presets were I would have use them much earlier! 🙂 So you don’t fall in the same trap I have created a little reference here that will help you know how each behaviors presets animate and look like.
What are Behavior Presets in After Effects?
The behaviors presets in After Effects are combinations of expressions and multiple effects that you can apply to any layer, it will create a smooth animation without key frames.
The After Effects behaviors presets were made to save time and improve our animation workflow, there is often layers we animate with the same movement so those behaviors presets are perfect instead of manually animating and adding keyframes.
Where to find the behavior presets in After Effects?
Click on the windows Tab in after effects
Go to the Effects & Presets Windows panel
Expand Animation Presets
Expand The Behaviors folder
How to use and apply the Behavior Presets in After Effects?
Select the behavior presets you need on the Effects & Presets panel
Drag the preset on your layer in your timeline (animated demo below)
Press play 🙂
